About Rolfing®

Rolfing logoRolfing Structural Integration is a form of manual therapeutic bodywork most often (but mistakenly) associated with massage therapy. Where the goal of massage is generally relaxation and easing muscle tension, Rolfing works towards permanent structural and functional changes that last. Rolfing is like a tune-up for your body, realigning your posture so you feel and move better. It does this by working with the body's connective tissue, or fascia. This fascia is everywhere in your body: it penetrates, supports and surrounds all of the muscles, bones, nerves and organs. Rolfing works on this web-like matrix to release chronic tension patterns and realign and balance the body, alleviating pain and resolving discomfort. The end result is that you feel more at ease, and you'll move better.

Who is Rolfing for?

It's good for everyday people: office workers, tradespeople, stay-at-home moms (or dads), athletes, or anyone else who wants to feel more comfortable in their body. Professional athletes, dancers, performers, even musicians use Rolfing as a way to enhance performance. Adults, seniors and even children can all benefit from Rolfing because it's gentle sessions are tailored to each client's needs.
